As I read, Andres Serrano created a lot of scandal with Piss Christ, a paintinggraph of a crucifix submerged in urine . On the other hand, I read about his biography, where I found that he had some difficulties understanding the meaning of the church and God. As I read, I understood that he wanted to trustfulness the divine image with the human image, so he doesnt want people to feel less than the divine image. Also, I could say that all the things that happened in his life influence in the way he express his art. Even though he studied in Catholic school and attended to church, he didnt feel good with the way that church single out religious images and humans. Nevertheless, I think that Piss Christ is an nauseating image for the church. There are people who believe in God and what he did, so I think that each person has to respect the way the other people think or in this case believe. It was interesting for me to see this photo because I could understand how wide the freedom of art could be.
