About ten months agone my younger baby, Jamie, told me I was going to be an aunt. I was very surprised, but also very excited. A few months cut the road, Jamie looking very pregnant, the discussion came up well-nigh who would be her Lamaze coach. Since Jamie was not with the father she asked if I would be her coach. Of course, I tell yes. We went every week for about seven weeks to a Lamaze class, training different breathing techniques and how to stay focused. Finally the day came, on February 23, when we could use all we learned. It was the most unforgettable moment, being with my sister when my first niece was born. The abbreviations starting, the ride to the hospital, and finally the actual birth, were things that made this ingest unforgettable.
The night before Jamie started having contractions, I went out with some friends from my work. I came home very late and slept half of the day extraneous on Saturday. When I finally woke up at about 1:00pm on Saturday, I called to see how Jamie was doing. She was actually collectible on February 20 and it was the 22. When I called my mom answered and told me Jamie had started having contractions at 4:00am this morning.
My mom suggested I come over because there was no telling when we would leave to go to the hospital. I rushed to persuade a bag of clothes and hurried to my parent’s house. When I got to their house Jamie was on the computer. Her contractions were about ten minutes apart and she said they were not that painful yet. When a contraction would come she would tell me one was starting and I would note the clock to see how long it lasted and how far apart they were.
At about 6:00pm we sat down to eat dinner. Jamie’s contractions were about eight to seven minutes apart now. by and by dinner my sister’s friend Lori and my mom’s friend Lou Ann came over.
