The familiarity and commitment between huck and Jim are the briny focus of the story. The difference in race is what makes the story unordinary. The friendship started to develop during their journey on the Mississippi river. The river resembles freedom from thraldom for Jim and the escape from society for Huck. Loyalty also started to grow when they go about the troubles that were in front of them. Huck went through many troubles to non reveal Jims identity. [Huck] dressed Jim up in world power Lears outfit, he took theatre paint and painted Jims face and hands and ears and neck then wrote a foreshorten sick Arab but harmless when not out of his go(Twain118). Huck went through all this trouble to hide Jims identity which was not a common act during his sentence period. This is a great example showing the friendship and loyalty between Huck and Jim.
Huck could simply turn Jim in but the friendship between them has at peace(p) too far-off to influence Huck to do the morally wrong thing. David L. metalworker said in his book Hucks aright celebrated crisis of conscience culminating in his resolve to free Jim, evening if doing so condemns him to hell (smith1). This friendship between Huck and Jim has gone beyond race. Huck knew that if he helped Jim he would be passing play against majority of the people also including the church. Smith exemplifies his point explaining that Hucks moral has changed and he could even help a person with the consequence of hurting himself.
