Today i had to pick up Shaiann and Christopher and happen upon them to the Kid Shine program. as usual, i had went to pick up Christopher and waited for them to get ready, so i thought... after about 20minutes of waiting outside, Diana had finally answered her phone to let me know that Chris would not be going to the program today. Of course it was extremely irritating to waste to wait on a response such as that, and had made me late waiting for her son. Because Shaiann lives mop up by, I was euphoric that she was at least going to make my day more productive. I was aware that Shaiann can at times be a handful and was prepared for a different s subscribe of day.
The pick up went really well, I had met with the grandmformer(a). The grandmother was a sweet heart, and had to shudder Shaiann out the house, because Shaiann wanted to stay in later to watch her show on TV. Our walk to the train station was quick and interesting. We talked about her weekend and Mabel and their relationship so far. I can tell that Shaiann likes being around Mabel, entirely understands that this program is just temporary, and Mabel will graduate soon.
Todays activities were simple, yet fun. we got to do a bunch of arts and craft things, like making puppets by hand and charm accessories. The kids all enjoyed the activities, including myself.
Katherine had the children play a game with money and also talk about what happens when children go to jail.
OBSERVATION OF THE DAY:
Since the pick up, Shaiann was as usual genuinely jolly. Shaiann is very good at holding conversations and that is what we did for most of the chafe to and from Kid Shine. The drop off was very quick, because I had to rush to work an Shaianns father was very quick to close the door after greeting Shaiann. Shaiann is very good with the other children, but at times seems to be a number pushy; which results to sometimes the other child feeling the pauperism to defend themselves.
