Gabriel Prossers Rebellion- Slave revolution that failed when Gabriel Prosser, a slave preacher and blacksmith, organized a railyard slaves for an attack on Richmond, Virginia, in 1800.
A thunderstorm disruption the timing of the attack, and a slave informer alerted the whites. Prosser and twenty-five of his pursuit were executed.
Hartford Convention- Event spanning from December 15, 1814 to January 4, 1815 in the United States during the War of 1812 in which New Englands opposition to the war reached the point where withdrawal method from the United States was discussed. The end of the war, with a return to the status quo stake bellum, disgraced the Federalist Party, which disbanded in most places.
American Colonization Society- face founded in 1817 by anti-slavery reformers, that called for gradual emancipation and removal of freed blacks to Africa.
