Title:Battle of The Bands of IPG Kampus Perlis

The purposes of the Battle of The Bands were to develop students creativity in composing call option and playing musical instruments. The competition was held on August 2, 2011. both the lecturers and students came together to make it success. Battle of the Bands was first-class honours degree held in course 2010 and being organized by the Social Studies Department.

1.0Official Opening
The formalized opening was begun with the welcoming of the Principal of IPG Kampus Perlis, Mr. Tan Ying Kee. Mr. Tan Ying Kee gave a short encouraging speech and declared the competition act as open by hitting a drum. A fussy performance was delivered by the former winner of the last course of instructions battle after the official opening.

2.0Introduction of The settle and Bands
Marshall William, the host of the ceremony introduced the judges and the roachs which participated in the competition. in that location were 6 bands participating in the Battle of The Bands. All the bands just about comprising 5 to 6 members and played lead guitar, bass guitar, acoustic guitar, keyboard and drums. Each band was given 15 minutes to perform.



They move over to perform two stocks originally composed by them and in the second round they have to perform one song from any artist.

3.0Performance of The Bands
The performances of the bands were started by the King Kong as the first band followed by the Sweet Sour, Badfinger, Infinity, Dead Drum and wispy and Yellow as the last band to perform. Each band showed similarities of music genre in composing their songs. They would play both an alternative gemstone-and-roll song or indie rock song at the beginning and chose a hard rock song as the second song. Meanwhile, in the second round, the bands loosely chose songs from Green Day, Linkin Park, Muse, Evanescence, 3 Doors Down, Audioslave and Foo Fighters.
